Attendance Policy |
This is an online course that is required to actively participate in every session. Participation is graded. Participation means that you have to actively write on the discussion board, do your listening exercises, and follow up at least two times any announcement on the Blackboard. We will study the different chapters from the textbook every week. You will have an assignment every week and it counts as your class participation grade. You will have at least one quiz every week, no late quizzes will be accepted. You will have one Final exam due on August 14. The last week of classes you will have quiz 5, which is your last quiz and it is due on August 12. Then, the Final Exam is due on August 14. The Final Exam will be posted and available 4 days before the due date, so you will have enough time to prepare and submit your exam. What count as an absence? This an online course. Not doing one assignment counts as an absence. Assignment means that you have to submit on the Blackboard your participation in the weekly discussion board plus you have to submit your listening assignment due per each week. For example, if in one week you did not do the listening assignment plus you forgot to participate in the discussion board then you get 2 absences. Notice that more than 5 absences will make you fail this course. Absences will count against your final attendance grade as well. Attendance is tracked via blackboard. |
